Nobunaga Oda

A revolutionary who swept through the Sengoku era with innovative tactics and the policy of free markets and guilds (Rakuichi Rakuza). He achieved victories at Okehazama and Nagashino, breaking the old order. However, his life ended in the Honnoji Incident at the hands of his retainer Akechi Mitsuhide.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi

Rose from peasant origins to become Nobunaga’s retainer, and after Nobunaga's death, unified Japan. He implemented land surveys and the sword hunt to establish order, built Osaka Castle, and fostered a flourishing culture—an extraordinary man of drama who ruled the nation.

Ieyasu Tokugawa

Started as a minor lord in Mikawa, allied with Nobunaga and Hideyoshi, and triumphed at the Battle of Sekigahara to establish the Tokugawa Shogunate. He laid the foundation for 260 years of peace, leaving a massive legacy through patience and long-term strategy.

Yukimura Sanada

Son of Sanada Masayuki, he sided with the Western army at Sekigahara and fought for the Toyotomi during the Siege of Osaka, launching a daring assault on Ieyasu’s main camp. Remembered as “the finest warrior in Japan,” he died heroically and remains a legendary figure.

Masamune Date

Known as the “One-Eyed Dragon,” he unified the Tohoku region and served both Hideyoshi and Ieyasu. As the founder of Sendai Domain, he developed the castle town and even dispatched a delegation to Europe. Revered as a stylish and influential lord of the north.

Kiyomasa Kato

One of the “Seven Spears of Shizugatake,” he governed Higo Province, worked on land surveys and flood control, and built the famed Kumamoto Castle. Known both for his bravery and as a diligent domain administrator.

Mitsuharu Akechi

A loyal retainer of Mitsuhide, he supported his short-lived regime after the Honnoji Incident. Resisted at Sakamoto Castle after the Battle of Yamazaki and is said to have sunk family treasures. Remembered for his unwavering loyalty and tragic end.

Tadakatsu Honda

A fearsome general among Tokugawa’s Four Heavenly Kings, known for surviving 57 battles unscathed. Famous for his spear “Tonbogiri” and deer-antlered helmet, he was respected even by enemies and contributed to the stability of the Tokugawa regime.

Naomasa Ii

A fierce warrior known as the “Red Devil,” he led red-armored troops as a close aide to Ieyasu. Built Hikone Domain through valor and diplomacy but died at 42 from battle wounds. One of Tokugawa’s Four Heavenly Kings.

Nagamasa Kuroda

Son of Kuroda Kanbei, he served both Hideyoshi and Ieyasu. Played a key role for the Eastern Army at Sekigahara and became lord of Fukuoka Domain. Known for his buffalo-horned helmet, he was praised as a brave and capable warlord.

Takatora Todo

A castle-building genius who served many lords before rising to prominence. As lord of Tsu Domain, he excelled in flood control and governance. With naval experience and achievements at Sekigahara, he was a versatile and skilled general of the Sengoku era.

Kanetsugu Naoe

Chief retainer of Uesugi Kagekatsu who oversaw domestic, diplomatic, and military matters. Challenged Ieyasu with the famous “Naoe Letter” and supported Yonezawa Domain after Sekigahara. Known for his “Love” helmet and cultural sophistication.

Yoshikage Asakura

A daimyo of Echizen who cherished culture and developed Ichijodani into a flourishing city. Allied with brother-in-law Azai Nagamasa against Nobunaga but was defeated. Remembered as a cultured yet tragic lord.

Mitsunari Ishida

A close aide to Hideyoshi and one of the Five Magistrates. Known for his administrative talents and led the land survey reforms. Opposed Ieyasu after Hideyoshi’s death and led the Western Army at Sekigahara, where he was defeated. Loyal to the Toyotomi cause until the end.

Masanori Fukushima

The top of the “Seven Spears of Shizugatake,” he served Hideyoshi from a young age and showed valor. Played a major role for the Eastern Army at Sekigahara and became lord of Hiroshima. Known for his loyalty and inner conflict between old ties and the new order.

Toshiie Maeda

A spear master nicknamed “Yari no Mataza,” he served Nobunaga and later became a key supporter of Hideyoshi as one of the Five Elders. Established the Kaga Domain, known as “the domain of a million koku,” and was a major figure in the late Sengoku period.

Shingen Takeda

A daimyo of Kai known for both military and administrative excellence. Famed for the motto “Fūrinkazan” (Wind, Forest, Fire, Mountain), he fought fierce battles with Uesugi Kenshin at Kawanakajima. Passed away before fulfilling his ambitions.

Muneshige Tachibana

A famed general from Kyushu known as “Peerless in the West.” Served Hideyoshi and became lord of Yanagawa Domain. Though he was stripped of lands after Sekigahara, he later regained favor with Ieyasu and made a comeback. Known for overcoming adversity.

Kansuke Yamamoto

A legendary strategist for Takeda Shingen. Known for his expertise in castle construction and military tactics. Credited with the “Woodpecker Strategy” at Kawanakajima. A mythical tactician remembered for his intellect.

Yoshitsune Minamoto

The brilliant younger brother of Minamoto no Yoritomo, the first shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate. Achieved stunning victories at Ichinotani, Yashima, and Dan-no-ura, but clashed with his brother and met a tragic end. A military genius of the Genpei War.

Upon opening, guests will be able to experience trying on all suits of armor, except for those belonging to Kansuke Yamamoto and Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
The full selection is scheduled to be available by early July.

Immersive Space

Two entire floors (approx. 660㎡) of a hotel in Osaka’s vibrant Shinsaibashi district have been transformed into an immersive cultural space called “Michi” — a path into the heart of Japanese tradition.
Not only can visitors experience a variety of Japanese cultural activities—such as trying on samurai armor and kimono, participating in tea ceremonies, sword fighting (tate), and enjoying traditional music like koto and shamisen—but the entire space is thoughtfully designed to immerse guests in the unique and refined aesthetics of traditional Japanese culture.
